2008 Corvette LS3

Back in June of 2016 I got a call from a friend of mine, a fellow Dodge Challenger owner, that wanted some advice about buying an RV. Well it just so happened that my wife and I had planned on selling our 2004 Newmar Mountian Aire 37' class A RV. So, I said to my buddy Murray, "Have I got a deal for you." Long story short I sold him my RV and he hit the road.

About 2 months later I got serious about buying another Corvette as I previously owned a 1982 Corvette.

I had been watching 2 Corvettes for sale locally. One on Craigslist & one at the local Jaguar dealer. So, on Friday, August 26, 2016, I decided to go look at both cars. I also owned a 1983 Monte Carlo SS & decided to take it out for a spin. Needless to say, I traded the SS in on the Corvette at the Jaguar dealer.

The Corvette & Monte Carlo SS had about the same mileage, 42,000. The Corvette was listed for $29,900. I bought the Monte Carlo SS for $7,000 & put about $3,000 over 5 years. I got the Corvette down to $25,000 & got $10,000 in trade, so the Corvette was $15,000 out of pocket.
